Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Benefit is one of the women’s welfare schemes launched by the Tamil Nadu Government for the benefit of mothers and their children. The government introduced the scheme in Tiruchi City in 2025. More than 10000 women have already benefited under the scheme, as per the government data. Eligibility Criteria for MRMBS
- To avail the benefit of the scheme the each criterion is above 18 years and below 55 years.
- Women should be permanent residents of Tamil Nadu State.
- The woman who has registered themselves they must confirm pregnancy through the urine test and blood test, or an ultrasound report with the hospital letter or a signature on it.

Not Eligible
- The women who are regular employees of the centre and state governments are not eligible to get Maternity Benefit and a nutritional kit from the state government.
Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Funds and Nutritional Kit Transfer
